Calmmax Trampoline 12ft Review

I’ve always loved trampolines. As a kid, jumping on trampolines at friends’ houses was one of my favorite activities. There’s just something so fun about bouncing as high as you can and doing flips in the air. So when my wife and I moved into a new house with a big backyard last year, one of the first things I wanted to buy was a trampoline.

After doing some research online, I decided to purchase the Calmmax Trampoline 12ft. In this blog post, I’ll share my experience with this trampoline – the assembly process, quality and features, and overall impressions after using it for the past year.

Keep reading to find out if the Calmmax 12ft trampoline is worth the investment!

Why I Chose the Calmmax 12ft Trampoline

When looking for a trampoline, I knew I wanted a large size since I have two energetic kids who would be using it. I also wanted something durable and safe. The Calmmax 12ft seemed to check all of my boxes:

  • Large jumping surface – With a 12ft diameter, there’s plenty of room for my kids to jump around and do flips.
  • Safety features – It has a tall safety enclosure net to prevent falls and no exposed springs that could pinch fingers.
  • Durability – The heavy-duty galvanized steel frame and rust-resistant springs are built to last.
  • Quality manufacturing – Calmmax trampolines meet ASTM safety standards and come with generous warranties.
  • Budget-friendly price – At under $500, this large trampoline is very reasonably priced.

After reading many positive Calmmax trampoline reviews, I decided to take the plunge and order one.

Unboxing and Assembly

When the Calmmax trampoline arrived, I knew I was in for a big project. The box was gigantic and must have weighed at least 200 lbs! Luckily I wrangled some friends to help me get everything out of the box and start the assembly process.

Here are the main components included:

  • 12ft galvanized rust-resistant steel frame
  • 88 heavy-duty galvanized springs
  • Thick blue PE + PVC foam pad to cover springs
  • 6ft tall UV-protected enclosure netting
  • 4 curved poles to hold netting
  • Ladder for easy access

The included instruction manual was a bit lacking in details. There were no clear directions for how to properly install the enclosure net. After some trial and error, we were able to figure it out. I’d recommend watching tutorial videos online for tips before assembling this trampoline.

Once we got everything put together correctly, which took several hours, the whole structure was really sturdy. The foam pad fully covers the springs, leaving no gaps or pinch points. And the tall net provides a lot of bounce space within the safety enclosure.

Key Features and Benefits

Now that I’ve had the Calmmax 12ft trampoline set up in my backyard for over a year, here are some of the things I really like about it:

Durable Materials

  • Rust-resistant galvanized steel – No rust or deterioration after exposure to the elements
  • Heavy-duty springs – 88 springs provide great bounce and durability
  • UV-protected netting – Hasn’t faded or ripped despite being outside year-round

Safety

  • Full spring pad coverage – Thick pad protects from pinches and injuries
  • 6ft enclosure net – Keeps jumpers contained safely inside
  • 8 balanced contact points – Trampoline stays firmly on the ground

Performance

  • ASTM certified – Meets industry safety and testing standards
  • Large jumping surface – 12ft diameter provides ample bounce space
  • 1-year quality warranty – Covers defects and workmanship issues

I feel totally assured of my family’s safety when my kids are jumping on this trampoline. The quality is really impressive for the price.

Our Experience Bouncing

My kids absolutely love this trampoline! Almost every day when the weather is nice, they head straight for it as soon as they finish their homework.

Some of their favorite things to do:

  • See who can jump the highest
  • Practice front flips and other tricks
  • Make up games with complex rules
  • Bounce together with friends

I also like to join in sometimes too. The 12ft size gives us plenty of room to all bounce together. And the quality springs provide a nice, even bounce.

The safety net enclosure gives me peace of mind. I never have to worry about the kids accidentally falling off or wandering away from the trampoline area.

We’ve found the surface gets a bit hot in direct sunlight during summer months. But that’s easily fixed by bouncing in the evening instead.

Overall, this trampoline has provided endless hours of fun and exercise for my whole family. It was absolutely worth the investment for us.
